Henry Ford founded Ford Motor Co. in 1903 and after manufacturing and selling several models, settled on the Model T design in 1909. He wanted a car that would appeal to the common man and be affordable to the masses. The Model T proved to be rugged, dependable and economical and came to be the highest production car ever mass produced. It was manufactured until 1927.
